Precision Monitoring Showcases Innovation at Asia Fruit Logistica 2025
Our Journey to Asia Fruit Logistica 2025
In September, we travelled to Hong Kong for Asia Fruit Logistica, one of the world’s leading events for fresh produce, logistics, and agri-technology.
Our goal for the trip was to reconnect with partners, explore the latest IoT innovations, and identify new collaboration opportunities in the rapidly evolving world of cold-chain logistics and produce export.
The week began with strategic meetings in Shenzhen, China, before heading to Hong Kong, a trip focused on both innovation and partnership growth across Asia’s agricultural technology landscape.
Strengthening IoT Partnerships in Shenzhen: Met with Minew Technologies
Before the show, we visited Minew Technologies, in Shenzhen, one of Precision Monitoring’s IoT sensor partners. The visit gave us an exciting look at the next generation of Bluetooth and LoRa sensor technology.
We discussed the development of smaller, more energy-efficient sensors with longer battery life and reduced production costs, advancements that make wide-scale deployment feasible across the food export, cold storage, and logistics industries.
A key focus of our discussion was automation and scalability, specifically how these sensors can track temperature, humidity, and other environmental conditions in real time, ensuring compliance, transparency, and quality control across entire supply chains.
Arriving in Hong Kong, we were greeted by an incredible atmosphere. Asia Fruit Logistica 2025 brought together thousands of exhibitors and delegates from New Zealand, Australia, China, Europe, and Southeast Asia, each showcasing the latest innovations shaping the future of fresh produce.
This year’s event made one thing clear: the produce industry is entering a new data-driven era. Traditional supply chains are being transformed by real-time data, AI-powered quality control, and IoT monitoring that enhances efficiency and sustainability.
The Knowledge Centre sessions highlighted how AI, data integration, and sensor intelligence are helping producers and exporters build more resilient, predictive, and environmentally responsible operations.
Throughout the event, we had the pleasure of reconnecting with our New Zealand clients, strengthening long-term partnerships built on innovation and trust.
We also met with Australian exporters seeking greater visibility and compliance in their cold-chain operations, many of whom showed interest in our OnSight platform for real-time monitoring and analytics.
Beyond reconnecting, we discovered new potential collaborators, technology providers offering complementary solutions that could enhance upcoming projects and further strengthen the Precision Monitoring ecosystem.
The future of logistics is connected, intelligent, and data-driven. Asia Fruit Logistica 2025 highlighted just how far IoT technology has come:
- Smarter, smaller sensors now measure multiple conditions, temperature, humidity, and light, at once, while remaining cost-effective for large-scale deployment.
- Cloud integration with platforms like OnSight unlocks advanced analytics, predictive alerts, and full-chain traceability.
- Business transformation is accelerating: IoT isn’t just improving quality control, it’s also driving payment automation, cash-flow optimisation, and compliance workflows, bringing data closer to decision-making.
The event was an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with some of the most innovative minds in the global produce industry.
We returned inspired by the progress happening across IoT and logistics, and excited to apply what we’ve learned to our upcoming projects. We’re looking forward to continuing our partnerships with Minew Technologies and other industry leaders, and to returning to future events as we keep expanding our global presence in smart cold-chain monitoring.
